52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks

I’ve been involved in genealogy research and family history for most of my life. Something I have been wanting to do for a very long time is compile and write the stories of our family. Up to this point I have gathered a lot of names and dates and places and printed that information in various standard genealogy reports, charts, and graphs, but haven’t done anything with the stories that are the essence of those facts. What are the stories behind those facts that show the lives of those people whose facts I’ve collected?

I decided to accept the 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks (#52ancestors) challenge for 2018 to make this the year those stories begin to be told. How this challenge works is each week I’ll receive a word or phrase to act as a prompt to focus that weeks story around.

So please wish me success with this challenge and stay tuned for those stories.

About the blog

The Boston Family History blog was created as a forum for sharing the history of the Boston family. Through this blog the stories of the Boston family will be told. The genealogy research conducted over many years will be brought to life through the telling of these stories as they form the Boston family story.
